Aquafresh is a GSK (UK) brand that has a good children dental product line in the My Big Teeth range, broken up into different age groups. It appears that the 3-5 and 6+ toothpastes have the same fluoride content but vary in spiciness of the mint. We feel that this is a logical transition for children.

Why we like it?

It has a mild mint and transitions to a stronger mint for the 6+ while maintaining the European standard of 1400ppm fluoride content.

Who is this good for?

This is a good toothpaste to use for children that require a higher fluoride content.

ELGYDIUM is a well-known French oral product brand with a good range of children toothpaste that uses fluorinol as its active ingredient.

The children toothpaste product line by this company comes in a few flavours but the banana is unique.

Why we like it?

For the Fluorinol — Fluorinol (organic fluoride) is reported to help enamel take up 5x more fluoride compared to the standard mineral fluoride.

As it is more absorbable, you don’t need as much fluoride in the toothpaste for the same effect. This is especially useful for children that are sensitive to toothpaste.

Who is this good for?

The taste is interesting for children who don’t enjoy  brushing with mint.

Fruit candy-loving kids will take a definite liking to this, which may be a good thing or a bad thing.

Pearlie White is the only home grown Singapore brand that also manufactures its products in Singapore.

This range does not contain any fluoride and promotes natural ingredients only.

Why we like it?

There are no artificial sweeteners, artificial flavouring or artificial colouring.

It has a low RDA (under 30) - Relative Dentine Abrasivity. It is a universal index that scores how coarse a toothpaste is or how much it scratches your enamel.

The higher the RDA number, the coarser the toothpaste is. Most toothpastes are at a 100 to 150 RDA level, and it is recommended that we should never use toothpastes above an RDA of 250.

Who is this good for?

This is especially good for children who enjoy swallowing their toothpaste.
